A Radical Thought

January 06, 2014

"Ignacio Ellacuría was often accused of being a Marxist. While his most strident accusers may have had only the vaguest notion of Marx’s philosophy, Ellacuría was steeped in philosophical thought. His mentor, Zubiri, was not a Marxist, and Ellacuría most often responded to accusations saying that he was something much more radical—a Christian." (Mary Jo Ignoffo)
